Criticality-enhanced quantum sensor at finite temperature

چکیده
Conventional criticality-based quantum metrological schemes work only at zero or very low temperature because the uncertainty around phase-transition point is generally erased by thermal fluctuations with increase of temperature. Such an ultralow-temperature requirement severely restricts development critical metrology. In this paper, we propose a thermodynamic-criticality-enhanced sensing scenario finite our scheme, qubit employed as sensor to estimate parameters interest in Dicke model which experiences thermodynamic phase transition. It revealed that criticality can significantly improve precision. Enriching scope metrology, finding provides possibility realize highly sensitive without cooling.

Quantum Chemistry at Finite Temperature
In this article, we present emerging fields of quantum chemistry at finite temperature. We discuss its recent developments on both experimental and theoretical fronts. First, we describe several experimental investigations related to the temperature effects on the structures, electronic spectra, or bond rupture forces for molecules. These include the analysis of the temperature impact on the pa...
متن کاملMembranes at Quantum Criticality
We propose a quantum theory of membranes designed such that the ground-state wavefunction of the membrane with compact spatial topology Σh reproduces the partition function of the bosonic string on worldsheet Σh. The construction involves worldvolume matter at quantum criticality, described in the simplest case by Lifshitz scalars with dynamical critical exponent z = 2. This matter system must ...
متن کاملBranes at Quantum Criticality
In this paper we propose new non-relativistic p + 1 dimensional theory. This theory is defined in such a way that the potential term obeys the principle of detailed balance where the generating action corresponds to p-brane action. This condition ensures that the norm of the vacuum wave functional of p + 1 dimensional theory is equal to the partition function of p-brane theory.
متن کاملQuantum Spin Systems at Finite Temperature
We develop a novel approach to phase transitions in quantum spin models based on a relation to the corresponding classical spin systems. Explicitly, we show that whenever chessboard estimates can be used to prove a phase transition in the classical model, the corresponding quantum model will have a similar phase transition, provided the inverse temperature β and the magnitude of the quantum spi...
متن کاملThermal pure quantum states at finite temperature.
An equilibrium state can be represented by a pure quantum state, which we call a thermal pure quantum (TPQ) state. We propose a new TPQ state and a simple method of obtaining it. A single realization of the TPQ state suffices for calculating all statistical-mechanical properties, including correlation functions and genuine thermodynamic variables, of a quantum system at finite temperature.
